Not for live gigs?

Why doesnt irig have an xlr output for
live gigs? I tried a headphone to xlr
adaptor, which worked but the sound
was either distorted, weak or muffled.
Not enough high end, definitely not
flat response. Unusable on stage with
Irig mic interface.
